Stop looking for new ideas
How do you learn to play music?
- By playing popular songs. The all time hits, the top songs from your favorite artists.
You don’t go around trying to make new music from scratch.
Then why do you look for NEW ideas when it comes to entrepreneurship?
Just start with what’s working for someone else. Copy their idea, give it your own spin, iterate and improve.
As long as you care about the problem you’re solving, you will figure out a way to make it profitable.

Imitate. We’re imperfect mirrors.

My friend Manish shared a great quote from Mark Twain -
“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.”

One last time..
Stop trying to come up with brand new ideas to build a business around.
Start with what’s already working and give it your own spin.
