OutlierKit Weekly Update - 5th September

We're a 3 person team taking OutlierKit from $100 MRR to $1000 MRR in 90 days.

We meet once a week to sync up, and then work asynchronously on Discord.

Notes from last night's call (4th September) :

KEY METRICS & LAUNCH RESULTS

  • New signups: 42 email addresses collected in the past week
  • Paying customers: 1 new customer
  • Current MRR: $125 (6 subs)
  • Active trials: 2-3 ongoing
  • 90-day goal: Reach $1,000 MRR by November 30th

MARKETING PERFORMANCE

  • Reddit success: Organic thread received 19K impressions, 76 upvotes, 32 comments
  • Google Search: Seeing spike in branded searches for "Outlier Kit"
  • Testimonials: Received positive feedback from Microlaunch users
  • User engagement: Many free trial users exhausting all 20 tokens (positive signal)

  • Reselling interest: User inquired about white-label reselling in their country
  • API requests: Multiple users asking for API access
  • Agency potential: Strong interest from agencies and YouTube educators

ACTION ITEMS

IMMEDIATE (THIS WEEK)

  1. Pricing page updates:
    1. Remove concierge plan
    2. Add Expert plan starting at $199 for agencies/influencers
    3. Include urgency indicator on pricing page, ex: "7 seats left at this price"
    4. Add form for YouTube strategy consultation at bottom
  2. Product improvements:
    1. Implement harder paywall (limit free plan results, show "X more results available")
    2. Direct users to pricing page when tokens exhausted
    3. Add YouTube channel integration feature
  3. Analytics setup:
    1. Install Plausible Analytics on landing and pricing pages
